Last week I was off work for a week and couldn't afford to go away, so I decided it was about time I changed the rear crank seal on the 200SX. I also decided that I'd change the big end shells which are notorious on this engine for going wrong, usually after 80,000 to 100,000 miles. Mine hadn't gone yet, but the engine has done 118,000 so I knew it wouldn't be long, plus 2 weeks ago, I first heard the tell tale noise that I hadn't got long left.
Anyway, engine came out on Thursday, sump came off, big end shells replaced, rear crank seal replaced, rocker cover gasket changed and engine & bay were cleaned up. On Friday, the engine was put back in the car and started.
I have shed loads of photos, but rather than post them all here aswell, I've stuck a thread full of photos for each day on the ClubRWD website if anyone is interested....
Day One
Day Two
160 miles now done of the "running in" period which isn't particularly fun, only problems I've noticed so far is the sump plug was only done hand tight, so I've tightened that and the washer jet wasn't connected after I'd had the bonnet off, other than that, I'm dead chuffed with how it went. Should be having fun again in the 200 very very soon!

Because in the crap weather, you have to do random comedy poses every couple of hours to keep you amused!!! We would have taken pictures of us actually working, but funnily enough we had our hands busy with various engine componenets, LOL
I think next time, we'll have to employ a photographer!
