I don't have a vegetable patch yet but do intend to create one this autumn. I am more a fan of cottage gardens than ornamental gardens but aren't that keen of either extreme.

I've been reading this afternoon about wildlife ponds and I'm really keen to make one soon, along with a general wildlife flower area and bird feeders.

I am suffering the slugs too although for me it's just in the eating of my plants not any veg. We do have a hedgehog that visits but I'm concerned I've done myself a bit of a disservice by putting down slug repellent which I fear the hedgehog could have eaten and gotten ill.

What veg are you growing at the moment Coop?

corgettes, peas, (virtually destroyed by slugs) beans, butternut squash, tomatos, chilli's, leeks, gooseberry plant, blackurrent plant and raspberry plant.

With it being really dry in April I installed a water butt... hahaha

...big butts and I can not lie
You other brothers can't deny
That when a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist
And a round thing in your face
You get sprung, wanna pull out your tough
'Cause you notice that butt was stuffed
Deep in the jeans she's wearing
I'm hooked and I can't stop staring
Oh baby, I wanna get with'cha
And take your picture
My homeboys tried to warn me
But with that butt you got makes me feel so horny

I know you (Chris) already know this, but I thought I'd join in and say I've grown sunflowers this year!

Thanks Sue, when we're a bit more sorted and the weather is nicer you'll have to come round one evening. :)
