Matt, had someone on twitter ask to have a look at your shots - didn't really want to point the twitterverse at LAW; got these up anywhere else?

No problem, thanks for your positive feedback. I know there are a couple of weaker ones in there, but thought I would show you what I was up to at the weekend.

Just before I broke down into some major hot dizzy spell last night (flu)

I obviously wasn't quite on the ball with the backgrounds, more medicine needed methinks :drink:

Thought I would stick them in the thread anyways. Not my best work by far....

Looks great to me, I take it you were using a gelled strobe for the backgrounds?

Yeah thats right Chris. I think the red clashes a little too much. Touch of vignetting added in pp to emphasise the subject a little.

Yeah red and purple will clash, the purple looks great though. Only think I aren't sure on is the really shallow depth of field.

Likewise, the leaf really needs to be in focus, as I said not my best work. But I know where I've gone wrong. When I feel better I will try again! Thanks for the feedback Chris

Personally I prefer just the flower in focus, it directs you in the picture to it, and its very sharp and nice picture, colours im not so sure about but all in all a bloody effing good effort waddy dude.

Few more random ones from today. These are much harder to light in a nice way when they are not closed. Still had a little play, feeling a little better today.

Dude those are really nice shots, how cute do you guys look? lol!

I can only imagine how long it too to get the self portrait right on location like that.

I have only one critique, and that's the footwear. Kath's boot draws my eye (may be my colour blindness though, rather than anything else). Might have been nice to try barefoot with the boots hidden behind you, given the setting?

Bloody awesome either way. If I were half as good... lol!

Completley agree Jimski, had the same thought when taking the shots. Was really more of a quick setup and test on location. Was hoping to go back and do some more but the weather at the weekends has been awfull.

@Ben - shots were in the woods at Stanton
