Can someone volunteer their services to go and have a nose round this for me?

And let me know if it's OK or rotten as a pear / bodged...

FANKOO

That would be marvellous if you could do that Geoffrah!

Prolly best if you make your own arrangements, save crossed wires etc, :)

to be honest, I've already learned the hard way about how rusty these buggers can be. My old one was described as 'rot free with straight floors and panels', so I bought it blind.

Unfortunately I quickly found out it was rustier than a fishermans bucket.

And even more unfortunately the guy I sold it to found more and more and more rot the deeper he dug. We are still on good terms though ;)

Hopefully he'll have it back on the road sometime this decade. Here's a pic for all those unfamiliar with the beast in question...

No worries Geoffster...

Cheers for making the effort though.

I was contemplating cashing in my BMW chips for one of those Mk1's .... but having been out for a play in the Red chariot today there's no-way I can bring myself to do it.

Yes, the insurance on it is 'steep' @ £450 per annum
Yes, the parts cost a fortune and it's more complex than I understand.
Yes, most of the world think that you are a really shit wannabe drug peddler....

But hell there ain't nothing puts the same grin on my face....

On a slightly related note, I picked up this today....

Which is possibly one of THE worst cars evAr.
Bouncey, slow, obnoxious.... why the fuck do 'commoners' love these so?
But will earn me some pennies over the next week or so...
