I find dribbling a hose pipe over the bonnet for a few minutes is enough to give you the warm Colly glow inside. Just beware you don't put the hosepipe back, look up at the sky and shout "Fuck you weather! Do your worst!" as people might think you a little mad...

Mmmmmm Colly... I'm no expert on paint preparation but if there aren't any real defects on your brand spanking new paintwork - no orange peel etc. - then I would just slap on afew coats of Colly for sure! You'll need a sponge pad to apply and then I use quite a soft microfibre to buff it up. You can...

Perhaps I am a bit mean on Hammond, and I think my opinion is probably driven by the overexposure you talk about. I think the overexposure is exacerbated by May and Clarkson, both of which seem to "chose" more specific or niche subjects, whereas Hammond just seems to say yes to any and eve...

Totally agree about May, to be honest Hammond annoys me a little these days: it's all a bit too hammed up (if you'll excuse the pun!) and a little bit too simplistic, which is a shame as his Omaha documentary from a while back was quite good. May seems to sit well with interesting documentaries that...

Cheers for the recommendations people, I think I'll have a look over plusnet and aquiss as the monthly thing is quite good, especially as I won't be tied down if they end up being poor on my line! Aquiss seem to suggest once they have my MAC code they can migrate me over to them s00pa fast, thus for...

Whether co-incidence or otherwise, a few things have happened over a short space of time to really get my goat over my Fresserve/Wanadoo/Orange broadband package. I've suspected for a while now that I'm getting quite nasty capping during peak hours and have also noticed my connection dropping all of...

Hearing some hilarious "fixes" for OS3 slowness, including downloading a specific drawing App, firing it up, changing line thickness and then closing it. Your iPhone should then run nice and fast until you next open Safari. Another was to disable Mail push... Sounding more and more like th...

I wonder that myself... Wondering if OS 3 is so optimised for the 3GS that it's bogged the 3G a little...

Either that or perhaps the 3GS is now "faster" than previous iPhones because they've slowed down the 3G so bloody much

Had no idea where to put this, so here will do! Anyone else feeling that OS 3.0 on 3G (not S) is dog, dog slow? I found a lot of the OS 3 addons useful if a little tacked-on - stuff like copy and paste is really useful but God does it look messy - but the main problem is how bloody lethargic the pho...

It's a shame about MJ's death, but the explosion of so-called news stories has been crazy. Love this cartoon, so true: http://picturesforsadchildren.com/blog/famous.png Totally agree Jo! Was watching News24 last night and got to breaking point when the newsreader cut live to Lizo Mzimba in Glastonb...

As I hardly watch TV these days I didn't see the TG trailers, but have been keeping an eye on Finalgear countdowns for a while! You know that Stig unmasking will be BS though surely?! (Was also chuffed that my Mallorca Rally in Top Gear guess - thanks to some pics in my dad's MG mag - was right!) Tr...

CS, First of all on behalf of both myself and my fellow co-founder Scott, I'd like to thank you for feeling that you can come to the AWBC for help. As far as your BBQ foodstuffs go, I would suggest a trip to http://www.365BBQ.com where you can check out all our past culinary experiments (aside from ...

iPhone 3GS camera examples http://www.flickr.com/photos/andyi/sets/72157619833958006/ I love the focus system it uses - just touch on the screen where you want focus and there is where you get focus. Smart. Saw that Flickr set the other day; the guy must be such an Apple fanboy or just a general id...

Looking more and more like this is the new Olympus Micro 4/3rds camera, the EP-1. Looks bloody ace, if this works remotely like a decent camera I am IN  http://www.slack.co.uk/oddsandends/EP_3.jpg *Dribbles* http://img2.zol.com.cn/product/32/350/cePKZbyr52gGs...
